Want Some Ideas?

I was reading some other post about ideas and reason why people aren't using this site as much as they did in the past and I came up with one possible idea on how to get existing "dead" members active again.

I like the new feature on the home page that show what is new that is being added. Its nice to see what is new instead of having to search every single persons page to find something new. In my opinion I think this is one of the big reason why myself and possibly other have not been active on this site as of lately. With that said I think it would be even nicer to see this expanded on to each persons individual homepage. Kind of like Facebook, but with doing so add a feature that sends an email out to the persons friends list that they have a new pic., story, video, etc. This would inform everyone including dead members that their is activety on this website. Like with Facebook I know it gets annoying seeing a ton of notification emails that somebody updated something. But it keeps me informed on what is going on.

Just a thought. and if I wasn't clear on what I was trying to propose let me know and I can try again in more details.

I hear what you are saying it and makes perfect sense. We have slowly implemented new items to the site and even change the name. We will continue to tweak things until we have what we want...we are not there yet though. I urge everyone to continue using all the features this site has...it really is a great tool for outdoorsmen.

A idea i have is send out some fliers and things to members that sign up using their address's or see if anyone would like to receive some fliers and hand them out at there local pro shops thats what i did last year gotta few new numbers but not enough with 1 person doing it..
