Brief Biography:
I am 18 years old and I live in a small town which is about 2 hours away from Chicago and about 30 minutes away from Peoria. I love to hunt.. hunting is pretty much life.I hunt mostly all river bottoms esecially for deer Bowhunting whitetails is exciting...my dad bought me a bow for X-mas in 2003 so Ive been hunting with it for 3 years now and Ive killed 2 big bucks 1 is a 9 point PandY will have score in Febuary, I hunt on 41 acres on a 2000 acre island. I would have to say Im one of the biggest hunters in my area for my age. If I could I would hunt every single day out of the year. I am also a huge bass fisherman.

You are allowed 2 birds for the season. My dad and I were hunting on private property and took these two toms at the same time when they came in to the pretty boy decoy. The fellow that we hooked up with trys to manage his property pretty well and really didn't want us to shoot more than two birds so we pig hunted for a couple of days too. Laughing

Yeah mine weighed 22lbs too but it was only a 2 year old bird so it only had a 9 inch beard and 3/4 in spurs.

yeah they gobbled good right off the roost but after about 7:30 they didn't hardly speak. I missed one at 6:15 on opening morning. As it turned out, sometime between saturday and monday morning my scope had gotten knocked off. So i sighted it back in and me and my uncle called one up this morning and i killed him at about 6:30 this morning. How big was yours?

Hey did you get those first two bucks in your photo album this year?
  16. Hatter

On Apr 05 2007, Hatter said:

Yeah they are with a lot of hens thats for sure... and another thing is all of the gobblers are still bunched up so you don't get those satellite birds that are lonely and will come in to anything. It's stupid that the conservation department had the youth season so early. I don't know why they didn't have it this weekend. But I hope you're right cause I have had a few seasons when the birds didn't seem to gobble at anything lets hope this isn't one of them.

Hell yeah i'm ready... I'm a little nervous though cause I took a kid out for the youth season this past weekend and it sucked. I only heard like six turkeys and they all only gobbled like once or twice and then they were done.
