This is a seriously nice chunck of walnut. The ends are not sealed though. Some checking has occured. Not much but some. Before it gets worse it should be sealed. I got that advice from another very experience call maker. I would suggest not waiting to pick it up. Or I might be able to seal it for you. Would you prefer wax or laquer seal, or is there another method you use? Anyway, the grain on this chunk of walnut is worth whatever effort you put into it. It's a very nice piece.
