Brief Biography:
Dave Skinner, AKA skin_dog1, is an avid outdoorsman that went a bit crazy and decided he can take on the world. He's got a ton of irons in the fire including a lovely wife, 2 beautiful daughters, a rapidly growing game call company (www.lostrivergamecalls.com) and very soon his own outdoors television show "The Average Outdoorsman". Did I mention he's also a full time police officer! If that isn't enough he also coaches his 7 y/o's soccer team and enjoys woodworking. I'm sure he's somewhere trying to pick up a new hobby as I type. Anyway, somehow he manages to fit all this into a 7 day week and still get a few hours sleep. Dave travels outside of Kentucky several times each year to pursue his hunting passion. Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio, West Virginia, and South Carolina are a few of his favorite destionations. Next spring he'll expand his horizons a bit and try turkeys in Oklahoma. Keep an eye out for him in a woodlot near you!

I guessed him around 147. His main beams arent very long though, and i think the spread jus t makes him look a little bigger then he is Shocked haha

Yeah well like you said "Im trying"...... Iv just started slinging a few here in the last week trying to get back into shape, and as far as stands go Iv got two new lock ons I have to hang soon and go down and do some other work around the farm but none in the tree yet..Also im working on planting a winter plot on my main farm, but I have a feeling this season that i'm going to be doing alot more hunting in western ky than years past. I have meet a few people along the way this off season with big farms along the barren river, and in the morgantown area also one in daviess county so hopefully everything will work out and I will have to chance to go bow hunting more often while at school instead of just on weekends! So hopefully all goes well and I'll be in the tree opening mourning.

I think I start getting worked up about next years deer season the second I fill my tag... lol. Turkey season wasn't as great for me as it could have been, I was pretty disappointed actually. IA has some great white tails but I'm not impressed with the turkey. I'm thinkin it's time for new turf next year

Yeah, the calls are great. I really like 'em!

Can't wait for deer season. Ive been scouting my ass off already and looks like we have a MONSTER in the works. Hes a funky non-typical that i think is going to be pushing 200" easy.

Also got trail cam pics of severl other big boys. Only time will tell! I cant wait to start doing some filming. Im headed out either Sunday or Monday evening to try and get that big sucker on video. Hes got crap goin everywhere!!

Whack one as soon as they fly down huh? Thats exactly what i did today! Had a couple close calls with some big toms but couldnt help myself when a jake walked into the decoys at less than 15 yards. Sent one right through his chest, the video is sweet.

Must be these badass new calls Wink

Unfortunately no...not yet. We have had a bunch of close calls in KS and Nebraska. Missouri opens tomorrow morning and we just got done putting some birds to sleep. Hopefully it will all work out.

It is really tough trying to get them using natural blinds and with all the video equipment and what not...
