I found the nocking end of the arrow about 10 yards from where I shot her. I am probably not explaining this hundred percent, to grasp it completely you would have to have seen my arrow and the bear. Laughing But, after this I dont think I will try any other broadheads. I am a firm believer in the Steel Force blades. The cutting power is amazing. I know of other hunters who have had the same thing, where they hit the shoulder of the bear and the arrow didn't go any farther and their bows where a higher poundage. The year before I shot my bear and was using the Steel Force, and I had the arrow go clean through the bear and into a tree branch behind the bear. I walked up and pulled my arrow out of the branch that was about the diameter of my fist without a problem. Laughing Yeah I cant say enough about them, I would definately recommend them.

I shoot Steel Force Premium Lock-Down Broadheads 85grain with the 1 3/4" blades. The cutting power and true fly is awesome as well as they are so easy to tune in. I can take my field point off my arrow put a steel on and my arrow shoots the exact same with no adjustment needed. I can shoot up to 50yards true and sound. I have even seen them go through a bears shoulder and still go clean through the bear. The bear I shot this year actually had her leg back, should her shoulder bone was blocking the heart shot. It wasn't like that as I drew back, but just as I released she moved. I was worried when I heard the arrow hit bone... But when I started tracking I had a good blood trail and only ended up tracking her 40 yards from where I shot her. The arrow and broad head was still inside her broken where she snaped it breaking the arrow inbetween her shoulder bone and ribs, but had had enough force still with my 50 pound Bowtech that it had gone through both sides of her ribs. Yep I just shot her on sunday at 2:30 pm. I passed on a 600 pound sow cause she had two cubs... They were a good 100 pounds plus each. But dont feel right orphaning them that young. Maybe next year she will be dry. Second year I have passed on her. Hears hoping for next year... LOL.... The sow I got was roughly a two yr old, that weighed about 250 pounds. Clean heart shot. I am very pleased with my bear harvest this year. Cant wait till deer season next month. I drew a doe tag this year. Very Happy
